Description
Established in 1937, SJRA is a public entity whose mission is to develop, conserve, and protect the water resources of the San Jacinto River basin. Its primary purpose is to implement long-term, regional projects related to water supply and water treatment. It does so through the operation and management of Lake Conroe, the delivery of raw water to municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers, and water and wastewater treatment services. Additionally, SJRA has an active role in regional flood management through partnerships with federal, state, and local government entities.
